The Suzuki Jimny has returned as a new 2 seater, light-commercial vehicle version of this small and lightweight off-roader. Since its launch in 2018, the model has attracted both private-users and professionals who seek for an authentic off-road performance. The vehicle is priced at £19,999 on the road including vat (£16,796 on the road pre vat). Metallic is £525 and Dual-Tone is £700. The commercial VED is £290.
With over 200 enquiries since early 2020 our limited allocation has been sold to those that enquired first. This means we have no further vehicles until at the earliest 2023 and currently not knowing the factory production and allocation we are no longer taking enquiries. Obviously, the small production allocation for the UK is as disappointing to us, as it is to the many prospective owners that have enquired over the last 24 months. However, this is beyond our control and we will update this website as we know more.
The Jimny Commercial is based on the previous SZ4 specification of the passenger car with the following differences:
- Rear Seats removed
- Front seats' rearmost position moved forward by 10mm to secure UK minimum LCV requirement of a 900mm loading area length
- Partition between front seats and rear loading area (standard recline position of front seats is now 15 degrees to maximise luggage capacity)
- Flat loading floor with a 863 litre capacity
- Addition of Suzuki eCall
Jimny commercial comes with air conditioning, automatic halogen multi-reflector headlamps, high beam assist, Satellite Navigation, Wireless Smartphone Link and DAB Radio. In addition it has a full size spare wheel, steel wheels, cruise control with speed limiter and an emergency back door release lever.
With no specific commercial brochure currently available, you can download below the 2019 passenger car brochure along with the technicial specification for the commercial model.
Equipped with a 1.5 litre engine, it takes you wherever you want to go with unrivalled agility and powerful torque when you need it most.The/ capability of Jimny still shines through.Sticking/ to the rugged 4x4 principles that inspired the first model back in 1970, the new Jimny is no different. The new Jimny is ready to handle all conditions.
For enhanced peace of mind on driving both on- and off-road, the light commercial vehicle model comes equipped with safety features such as Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS) which employs automatic brake to help avoid a collision, hill hold and descent control that support driving on slopes, plus Suzuki's latest feature - eCall, an emergency messaging function in case of a collision.
Uncompromising features define the Jimny Commercial as a serious off-roader.
A robust ladder frame, three ample body angles, 3-link rigid axle suspension with coil springs and ALLGRIP Pro 4WD with a low-range transfer gear.
The Jimny Commercial adapts to every situation, featuring a part time 4WD system with low range transfer gear. Shift the lever to the 4L mode (4WD- low gear) when the going gets tough for maximum torque and better traction on steep slopes and rough terrain.
