Whether you are looking to buy a New or Used Car we appreciate that you may want to test drive the car before you confirm your purchase, especially if it is a make or model that you haven't driven before.
With social distancing regulations, you may question whether this is possible. The good news is we can arrange an unaccompaniedfully sanitisedtest drive (unlike many dealers). However, as we are sure you can appreciate, given the value of the car and the fact that you could well be unknown to us, our insurance company insist we follow the following procedure and that you meet the following requirements.
Firstly you must have held a UK or EU driving licence for at least 1 year with no more than 6 points and no more than one accident or claim in the preceding 3 years at the time of demonstration. You must be aged 21 -70 years of age.
Prior to you arriving for your appointment we will need you to go to https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence and put in your driving licence number, national insurance number and postcode to generate a check code. See below.
We will then need you to give us this check code, along with the last 8 characters of your driving licence number.
Using this information we will check with the DVLA your driving licence details, after which your sales advisor will confirm you appointment.
You will still need to bring with you, to the test drive appointment, your original driving along with a second proof of address (that matches the driving licence) such as a utility bill, telephone bill, bank or credit card statement.
Whilst you are out on the unaccompanied test drive we will ask you to leave with us your current car and keys.
